Happy 2020 everyone! Our next meeting is Feb 19th at the library at 6:30pm. Our speaker Julie Coleman will do a talk about "Caring for your garden tools" Hope to see lots of bloomers there.
On the 4th of February the officers of the bloomers met at the First Seacoast Bank to change over treasurer from Coleen Smead to Margery Shepard. Coleen has been treasurer for the entire time the Bloomers has existed, so for 13 years. Thank you so very much Coleen for all you do for the bloomers. Margery Shepard will take over the position, and we welcome you as an officer of the bloomers. JoAnn Pearson is President, Lydia Culpp is vice president, Cindi Harrington - secretary.
Past meetings
Dec 4th- Xmas gathering at Cindi's. had 8 members attend. Yankee swap was very polite, no exchanges. Thanks everyone for your contribution to the meal, everything was great. Thank you to Kim for bringing the donation items to the food pantry for us.
Jan 15- Julie Coleman did a presentation of "Insects and Diseases in the garden". Great job Julie, very informative. we had 5 members attend at the library. Julie will be back this month for care of garden tools.
Coming up in March is the annual " Books n Blooms" event, co-sponsored by Friends of the Library and the bloomers. We will be making arrangements that reflect a book, and both items will be auctioned off in a silent auction. Making arrangements date is March 18th, will be on display through the 21st. Local florists will also contribute, always beautiful displays.  On the 21st the actual event, there will be voting for best arrangement/book and the bids on them. Come join the fun at the library. Light refreshments will be served.
