Well it's been quite an amazing summer weather wise. Only downside is the lack of water for the plants. As I'm sure each of you has noticed as you've done your stint in the Town Garden everything is so dry. Really had to cut out a lot of plants that just didn't survive the lack of water.
We've had a few field trips the past few months.
June
Fuller Gardens in North Hampton. We hit this one just in time to see all the roses in full bloom. What a beautiful sight.
July
We visited Anna Kay's, Birchwood Farms in Madbury. She has a large selection of Day Lillies and Hosta's. We had a tour around her many different garden beds and then we went "shopping" with a list to pick out the plants we wanted to purchase. Some came back the next day or two to pick up their orders, and Anna Kay was very generous with a bonus plant or two.
August
There will be no meeting this month (August) as everyone is so busy in their own gardens, so enjoy your month off.
September
There will be a meeting to vote in a new president and vice president, as Nancy will be stepping down as she will be moving. We hate to see her go, but I'm sure we will get to see her on some of our field trips or meetings down the road. Coleen will be taking over as president, so there will be an opening for vice president. Please plan to attend if interested in a position. Hope to see everyone in September with new ideas for field trips, and new speakers at our meetings.
