Hi Bloomers, hope you have been able to enjoy your gardens in between the rains.
June 15th planning a field trip to The Butterfly Place in Westford MA. It's about an hour and a half to get there and it's open 10 am to 4 pm. We will carpool and meet at the library/rec center parking lot at 9:30 am. admission is adults $13, seniors $11. There is a group rate but we have to have a minimum of 15 to qualify. There is no place to eat inside but they offer picnic tables for bringing your own lunch. There are places nearby to purchase food but not on the premises.
July 24th we are planning a field trip to Berrybogg Blueberry Farm in Strafford, NH. We did this a few years ago and had a great time so it was requested we do it again. The cost is $15 per person for a beautiful meal cooked and served in the orchard. There will be a tour of the farm and if you want to purchase and pick blueberries there will be time for that also. We will need a definate head count for this one so Julie can have enough food to serve. Please call me, Cindi 664-9588 if you plan on attending this event. The time will be 5:30 pm, so if you want to car pool meet us at the library/rec parking by 5pm.
August, date TBD will be making Hypertofas at JoAnn's in Barrington. There will be a slight charge for materials.
